Emilie Bergeron
Émilie Bergeron is the Vice-President, Chemistry at CropLife Canada where she is responsible for managing policy and regulatory issues relating to the registration, use and sale of pesticides in Canada. She also leading the organization’ international advocacy efforts as it relates to crop protection products. Prior to joining the CropLife team, Émilie was Director, Public Affairs for the Canola Council of Canada, responsible for market access issues. Émilie has also worked for more than 15 years at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada where she led, among others, the low-level presence (LLP) domestic policy development as well as the efforts leading to the formation of the Global LLP Initiative (GLI). She also contributed to the development and negotiations of the biotechnology provisions of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), as well as the biotechnology provisions and Sanitary and Phytosanitary Chapter of the Canada-US-Mexico Trade Agreement (CUSMA).
