Jason Lenz 




Born and raised in the Bentley area, Jason Lenz is the Alberta Wheat Commission’s director for Region 3 and vice-chair. Jason has continued to take on leadership roles in the agriculture sector both past and present including his most recent endevour as the chair for the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Crops 


Jason is a third-generation farmer on Lenz Farms, located two miles southwest of Bentley. For the past 25 years Jason has farmed along with his father and uncle on the land acquired by his grandfather in 1948. 


Jason and his wife Paula have three grown children who were also raised on Lenz Farms. They run a diversified operation that traditionally grows malt barley, both CWRS & CPSR wheat, canola, and faba beans. They also manage a small cow/calf commercial herd. Before becoming involved in provincial agriculture organizations, Jason was heavily involved in hockey at all levels. One of many major accomplishments includes winning the 2009 Allan Cup as a coach.
