Jonathan Driedger

Jonathon Driedger joined LeftField in September 2019, adding his experience to the team's analysis in Canadian and global crop markets. Jon has many years of expertise in the Canadian ag industry, including as a Senior Market Analyst with FarmLink Marketing Solutions, a Commodity Risk Management Consultant with a major U.S. brokerage firm and as an Economist for the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange. Much of the year Jon can be found travelling throughout western Canada giving market outlooks and putting on training courses. He is also a recurring guest on BNNBloomberg. Jon attended the University of Manitoba where he obtained a BSc in Agribusiness, an MSc in Agricultural Economics and recently completed his PhD. He lives near Grunthal, Manitoba with his wife and three daughters, where together they run a small cattle operation.
