Larry Woolliams
Larry Woolliams is a 5th generation farmer. The family Homesteaded in 1890 in the Calgary/Rocky View Area. The Woolliams family started one of the first local dairy farms. Since then it has transitioned along the way to be a progressive grain farming operation.Larry is continually trying to stay up on the latest advancement in the Agricultural industry whether its new farming methods, different Crops to grow, or technology to help better his operation.
Larry is always looking at new ways to expand his farming business whether it’s growing his operation or branching into new ventures that will not only help his farm but the agriculture industry as a whole. Larry see’s that technology is a major key to success in the Agriculture industry today and in the future, there for Larry has partnered up with his dad Roy and a couple of farming neighbors to develop and market an agriculture software platform. From a young age Larry was always riding around with his dad, learning and being part of the family farm. To this day Larry loves the smell of freshly turned dirt and the open skies. Larry has evolved the family farm by taking the skills and ethics that were passed along to him by prior generations and transitioning these strong core family values into the new age of farming.
Larry’s wife Kortney is actively involved in the farming operation and alongside them are their two kids Paige and Trace. Larry and Kortney are passing along the strong family value that they both have. Paige and Trace are members of the Airdrie 4-H Beef and Sheep Club. Paige has a love for animals and would like a future in that industry upon completion of school. Trace shows major interest in taking over the family farm.
